SLHS PFO BOARD MEMBER  RESPONSIBILITIES

  • President 
    • Create and e-mail agenda at least one week before the monthly meeting 
    • Lead the monthly meeting keeping track of time so that we stay focused, get through the agenda and end on time
    • Contact and spokesperson for PFO as needed 
      • Additional responsibilities include: 
        • Event Planning
        • Volunteering at various events
        • Recruiting other volunteers
        • Filling in where needed to help make PFO event successful! 
  • Vice President
    •  Attendance of monthly PFO meetings
    • Fills in as meeting leader in the absence of the president 
      • Additional responsibilities include: 
        • Event Planning 
        • Volunteering at various events
        • Recruiting other volunteers
        • Filling in where needed to help make PFO event successful! 
  • Treasurer
    • Attendance of monthly PFO meetings
    • Provide Treasurer’s report at each PFO monthly meeting
    • Record all incoming and outgoing funds for the PFO
    • Maintaining current financial records
    • Making copies of all checks and noting their allocation on the copies.
    • Making deposits by sending them to the Saranac Lake Rotary Foundation o c/o Kevin Laplante PO Box 310, Raybrook, NY 12977
    • Directing checks to be made payable to Saranac Lake Rotary Foundation. If not then Treasurer will endorse and state Pay to the order of Saranac Lake Rotary Foundation.
    • Requesting funds from the SLRF by submitting invoices for payment. These payments are sent directly to the SLHS.
    • Track funds by event, grant, appeal and unsolicited funds in excel.
    • Track expenses and record under appropriate category. 
      • Additional responsibilities include:

        • Recruiting other volunteers 
        • Filling in where needed to help make PFO event successful!
  • Secretary 
    • Attendance of monthly PFO meetings
    • Take notes at meetings/distribute to email list upon completion 
    • Manage Facebook pages (2 groups, 2 pages) 
    • Annual capital campaign mailing 
    • Letters to editor when appropriate 
    • Send thank you notes for donations received
      • Additional responsibilities include:
